As part of a small, distributed team, the Marketing Specialist plays a key role in promoting Thunderbird's mission of providing privacy-respecting communication tools.

Key responsibilities include managing daily social media activities such as content scheduling, publishing, monitoring, and engagement. The specialist will also draft and publish blog posts, marketing emails, newsletters, and other digital content that align with Thunderbird's brand voice and campaign objectives. Supporting integrated marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities across multiple channels is also a critical aspect of the role. Proficiency in collaborating across cross-functional teams in a distributed, asynchronous environment is expected.

While not mandatory, familiarity with open-source communities or privacy-focused technology products is advantageous. Experience supporting marketing activities for a global technology or software audience is also beneficial. The role offers a flexible, remote work environment, allowing the specialist to contribute to Thunderbird's mission from anywhere.
