Mechanical Engineer, Space Robotics

GITAI is a space robotics company dedicated to reducing the cost of work in space by 100 times. The Mechanical Engineer, Space Robotics will be responsible for the end-to-end development of mechanical hardware for robotic spacecraft systems, including robotic arms mounted to satellite buses, satellite bus structures, solar array mechanisms, battery system enclosures, avionics packaging, mounting structures, fixtures, and ground support equipment. This role encompasses concept design, CAD modeling, prototyping, fabrication support, hands-on assembly, integration, verification testing, failure investigation, and early-stage manufacturing support. The engineer will apply established design guidelines and best practices, incorporating lessons from real builds and tests to accelerate development cycles.
