Medical Malpractice Paralegal
Wilson Elser is seeking a Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join its White Plains, NY office. This role involves supporting attorneys in the Medical Malpractice & Health Care practice area, contributing to the firm's commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
The paralegal will be responsible for obtaining medical records through authorizations and subpoenas, maintaining organized case data, conducting research via Open Public Records Requests, and performing background investigations. Additional duties include analyzing and summarizing medical records, supporting attorneys during depositions and discovery, managing document productions, preparing materials for expert witness review, and ensuring case files are well-organized and accessible.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, with a paralegal certificate preferred, and have at least 2 years of general litigation experience in New York State Courts. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to prioritize a heavy workload, advanced Microsoft Office skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to integrate into a fast-paced environment.
