Mid- Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel

The group comprises OneDegree, the leading Hong Kong digital insurer; OneInfinity, first in Asia and the Middle East to insure digital assets; and Vulcan, a cybersecurity firm focusing on GenAI and AI agents. We are seeking a Legal & Compliance Counsel or Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel to support our growth across Hong Kong, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and beyond.
In this role, you will advise on a variety of legal, compliance, and governance matters, helping to drive our legal, regulatory, compliance, IP, and data privacy strategies. You will liaise with regulators, including the Hong Kong Insurance Authority, proactively identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks, draft and negotiate commercial contracts such as insurance policies and SaaS agreements, support fundraising and group structuring, and assist with investments and acquisitions for the group.
The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer in a common law or Asian jurisdiction with over 5 years of post-qualification experience. While insurance experience is a bonus, we also value experience with GenAI tools, SaaS legal matters, and fluency in both English and Chinese, including the ability to draft in both languages. We are open to candidates from 5 years’ PQE upwards, with flexibility for exceptional candidates. This hire may be made at Legal & Compliance Counsel or Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel level, depending on the individual’s experience and ability to operate independently.
