Modeling Analyst II
Yes Energy is seeking a Modeling Analyst II to join their team, focusing on power system modeling, market price forecasting, and economic transmission analysis within the EnCompass product line. This role is integral to ensuring the product meets customer needs through advanced support, product development, and database management for North American power markets. The position offers flexibility with hybrid or remote work options and reports to the Senior Director of Customer Success.
Key responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, conducting training and onboarding sessions, updating product documentation, collaborating with Product Management and Engineering on feature implementation, assisting in database development, and offering subject matter expertise to Sales and Marketing. The role requires up to 30% travel to customer sites for in-person training.
Candidates should have at least three years of experience in power system modeling, including market price forecasting and economic transmission analysis, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Proficiency in Excel or BI tools, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex modeling errors are essential. Experience with EnCompass, PLEXOS, Aurora, or PROMOD models, familiarity with FERC regulations, ISO/RTO operations, and prior client-facing roles in the energy sector are preferred.
