MRO Business Development Manager - Austin, TX
The MRO Business Development Manager at Fictiv is responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) opportunities within targeted industrial manufacturing and automation accounts. This role focuses on building strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding site-level maintenance needs, and delivering high-quality customer support to drive growth in Fictiv's Factory Automation product offerings.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with maintenance, operations, procurement, and engineering teams across assigned accounts, identifying and growing opportunities by understanding site-level maintenance needs, and applying engineering and technical knowledge to evaluate customer applications and recommend appropriate solutions. The manager will also promote Fictiv's Factory Automation solutions to improve uptime, reduce total costs, and increase overall share, provide customer feedback to internal teams to support MRO product and service development, and create and deliver presentations, proposals, and account plans for customer stakeholders and internal leadership.
Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience in MRO, industrial sales, business development, or application engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment. A technical aptitude to understand mechanical components, automation equipment, and engineering drawings or specifications is essential, along with strong consultative selling and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-management skills across maintenance, operations, procurement, and leadership teams are required, as well as proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $77,000 to $88,000 per year, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and parental leave programs.
