North America Tax Senior Manager
The North America Tax Senior Manager at Wellhub is responsible for overseeing the complete U.S. tax lifecycle, ensuring compliance with federal and state income tax regulations, managing sales and use tax, and supporting Canadian tax operations. This role involves leading the tax provision process, maintaining a robust SOX-compliant control environment, and providing technical support to the accounting team. The position serves as a critical link between tax technicalities and financial operational excellence within the company.

The role also involves preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual U.S. income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 and IFRS, accurately calculating deferred taxes, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions. Additionally, the manager will design, implement, and maintain a SOX-compliant internal control environment for the U.S. tax function, ensuring all processes are documented, tested, and optimized to prevent material weaknesses and ensure financial reporting integrity.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field, with prior tax experience, preferably in a Big 4 accounting firm or a multinational corporation. Strong knowledge of ASC 740, IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and international tax compliance is essential.
