Of Counsel - Litigation (San Diego)

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is seeking an experienced attorney to join its litigation team as Of Counsel in San Diego. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing team within an AmLaw60 law firm, providing comprehensive legal services across various practice areas. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in complex civil and commercial litigation, particularly within mid-size or large law firm environments.

In this role, the attorney will collaborate with a team of trial lawyers and litigators specializing in complex litigation, products liability defense—including matters related to the Song-Beverly Act—pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and class action litigation. Responsibilities include drafting and preparing pleadings and discovery documents, managing document production, preparing for and conducting depositions, and arguing discovery and other motions. The attorney will also be expected to adeptly manage cases and contribute to the team's trial efforts.

Candidates must possess at least eight years of meaningful litigation experience in complex litigation, class action, and products liability cases. Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills are essential, along with strong communication abilities. The role requires excellent academic credentials and active membership in good standing with the California Bar. An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to thrive in a growing office environment are also highly valued.

The compensation for this position ranges from $200,000 to $250,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for performance bonuses and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
