On-Call Roadway Technical Manager
Benesch is seeking an On-Call Roadway Technical Manager to join our Roadway Design team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role involves supervising staff, mentoring their technical skills, and contributing to project management on NCDOT projects and beyond. The position operates on an as-needed basis, with the option to work from our Raleigh office when engaged.
Key responsibilities include providing guidance and direction in technical project elements, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of analyses and designs to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction. The role requires prompt communication of technical progress and issues to Project Managers, facilitating informed decision-making and proactive problem-solving. Additionally, the Technical Manager will train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
The ideal candidate will perform, review, and manage technical analyses and designs, ensuring completeness and compliance with quality standards to mitigate risks and maintain project integrity. Assisting with business development and proposal development is also a key aspect of the role, leveraging technical expertise to secure new opportunities and drive company growth. Serving as a Subject Matter Expert on projects, the Technical Manager will provide specialized knowledge and insights to optimize project outcomes and deliver added value to clients.
