Operations Partner - Kamloops, Canada (Contract)
Bird, a global leader in micromobility, is seeking an independent contractor to serve as an Operations Partner in Kamloops, British Columbia. This role is pivotal to Bird's mission of transforming urban transportation by ensuring the efficient operation of e-scooters and e-bikes within the community. As an Operations Partner, you will be responsible for the logistics of the local fleet, ensuring vehicles are charged, safe, and strategically positioned to meet the transportation needs of Kamloops residents.
Your primary responsibilities will include utilizing your vehicle(s) or fleet to collect, deploy, relocate, and retrieve e-scooters and e-bikes across Kamloops daily. You will have the flexibility to choose your operational model, either by securing your own space to charge vehicles overnight or by retrieving and transporting vehicles to Bird's central warehouse. This is a pay-per-task opportunity where earnings are directly tied to output, with the potential to earn up to $2,200 per week based on a fleet volume of approximately 400 vehicles daily.
To be considered for this role, you must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters or bikes. Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred for maximizing earnings through overnight charging. A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record is required. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and a flexible schedule with a willingness to operate on weekends are essential. Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new mobile applications are also important.
As an independent contractor, you will manage your own schedule and workload to meet Bird's operational needs. You are responsible for your own tools, equipment, and any associated expenses required to complete your work.
