StarCompliance is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Intern to support our global broker outreach and data management initiatives. This part-time role offers 20 to 30 hours per week at a competitive hourly rate and is open to candidates based on the East Coast. As a leading provider of employee compliance software, StarCompliance helps the world's most reputable companies achieve regulatory compliance and safeguard their reputation with confidence.

In this role, you will engage with the worldwide brokerage community to identify points of contact, gather and verify operational information, document broker feed requirements, and organize findings for internal and external client use. Key responsibilities include contacting brokers globally to confirm and obtain updated operational information, documenting responses in a centralized database, and maintaining relationships with brokers to ensure timely responses. Additionally, you will confirm and document broker-specific feed requirements, research and analyze broker feed specifications, and maintain a comprehensive database of these requirements. Organizing and analyzing collected data to identify trends and preparing clear reports summarizing findings are also essential aspects of the role.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, business, computer science, or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with excellent organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial, and a basic understanding of the financial services industry and compliance regulations is preferred. Experience with database and customer relationship management (CRM) tools, knowledge of data analysis and visualization techniques, and familiarity with compliance technology and regulatory frameworks are advantageous.
