Paralegal (FTC)

This 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) Paralegal role is within the Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) division of NBCUniversal, a leading global media and entertainment company. UP&E focuses on expanding the company's intellectual properties through innovative products and consumer experiences. The Paralegal will support the Consumer Products business across Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions, working closely with a dynamic in-house legal team.

The Paralegal will be responsible for drafting license agreements, amendments, and other legal documents using existing templates under the supervision of the legal team. Key duties include circulating agreements to relevant parties, addressing queries, preparing redlined documents based on business requirements, and managing contract workflows with licensees, licensing agents, and category teams. Additionally, the role involves general legal administrative tasks such as compiling signatures, maintaining filing systems, drafting correspondence, and coordinating between the legal team and business partners to ensure efficient legal documentation processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department, with a keen interest in intellectual property licensing matters. Essential skills include strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage a high volume of contracts and documents in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in legal drafting, effective communication, and adaptability are also crucial for success in this role.
