Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, a prestigious international law firm established in 1884, is seeking a Paralegal to join its Latin American practice group in New York City. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in multidisciplinary transactional work across Latin America, providing exposure to high-profile cases and professional mentorship within a top-tier global law firm.

The Paralegal will assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, conducting due diligence reviews, and organizing case files. Responsibilities include managing electronic databases, performing due diligence searches, proofreading documents, and coordinating the distribution of post-closing materials. The role also involves supporting business development activities, such as preparing presentations and organizing meetings.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and demonstrate fluency in both English and Spanish. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to work independently or collaboratively under limited supervision is required. Familiarity with Latin American business customs and knowledge of legal principles through formal paralegal training are preferred. Working knowledge of Portuguese and experience with iManage are advantageous.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 annually. The actual salary offered will depend on various factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, and educational background. This role is non-exempt, making it eligible for overtime pay.
