Paralegal - Ops Legal
The Paralegal - Ops Legal position at AbbVie involves supporting the Operations, Purchasing, and Corporate Affairs Legal team, as well as the AI Legal Team. This role is integral to AbbVie's mission of delivering innovative medicines and solutions across key therapeutic areas, including immunology, oncology, and neuroscience. The paralegal will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing various transactional agreements under the supervision of an attorney.
Key responsibilities include drafting and reviewing master services agreements, professional services and consulting agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, and business technology agreements. The paralegal will also assist attorneys in creating contract templates and will be expected to identify and resolve routine legal issues, providing guidance directly to business clients. Additionally, the role involves representing AbbVie externally to customers, suppliers, competitors, and opposing counsel, utilizing negotiation skills and legal expertise to resolve issues.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant legal education, such as a Paralegal certificate. A minimum of three years of paralegal experience, including significant experience in negotiating contracts and working with AI tools, is preferred. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, along with excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities, are essential. The ideal candidate should be capable of multitasking, analyzing information, understanding client needs, setting and managing work priorities, and meeting deadlines.
The compensation for this role ranges from $65,500 to $125,500 annually.
