Remote is seeking a Payroll Incident & Risk Lead to oversee global payroll risk and incident management. This leadership role involves developing and executing risk management frameworks, leading incident response, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the Payroll Strategy & Compliance team. The position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates in the EMEA region.

In this role, you will design and implement global risk management frameworks for payroll operations, new product features, and market expansion. You will lead cross-functional risk assessments, manage the global payroll risk register, and oversee quarterly and ad-hoc risk assessments. Additionally, you will serve as the escalation point for complex payroll incidents, establish processes for incident triaging and resolution, and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts. Mentoring team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement are also key aspects of this role.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll risk management, incident response, compliance, or operations management, preferably in global payroll, finance, SaaS, or regulated industries. Proven ability to lead incident response and implement data-driven solutions, expertise in designing and scaling risk governance frameworks, and experience mentoring or managing teams in a remote-first environment are essential. Strong project management skills, excellent communication and influence abilities, and familiarity with tools like Notion and are also desired.

Remote offers a competitive annual salary range of $49,900 to $112,300 USD for this full-time position.
