People Partner - Poland
Graphcore, a UK-headquartered semiconductor and AI compute company, is seeking a People Partner for its Gdańsk office in Poland. This role is integral to the Global People Team, reporting to the Director of People Business Partners in the UK, and collaborating with People Operations, Business Partner, and Talent teams. The Gdańsk office currently comprises approximately 50 employees, and this position will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the local team.
The People Partner will oversee all People Enablement activities for the Poland entity, managing processes from onboarding to offboarding while ensuring compliance with statutory, policy, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include leading People Operations activities, partnering with managers and engineers to facilitate smooth onboarding and transitions, overseeing payroll inputs in collaboration with Finance and Vistra, and maintaining accurate employee records. Additionally, the role involves ensuring compliance with Polish labor laws, supporting the implementation of a works council, and liaising with auditors and regulators on People-related compliance matters.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in HR Generalist Lead or Business Partner roles, with a strong working knowledge of Polish statutory requirements and employment law. Experience in managing HR vendors and external partners, proficiency in HR systems and data management, and the ability to manage workflows and prioritize effectively are essential. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across cultures and time zones are also required.
