We founded Counsel in 2023. Since then we've raised over $35M from a16z, Google Ventures, and Pear VC, partnered with leading healthcare organizations, and put ourselves on track to serve hundreds of thousands of patients on our platform within the next year.
We're 40 people today, growing toward 100. The NY office is becoming the heartbeat of the company - how it looks, feels, and runs is something we're investing in. That last part is where you come in.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a clinical role, full stop. As a Physician on our Virtual Care team, you'll spend the vast majority of your time doing what you trained for: seeing patients. The difference is how. Your visits will be messaging-based, AI-paired, and built around what's actually best for the patient instead of what the EMR will let you click. You'll be the clinician on the other end of the message: the one a patient turns to at 7pm on a Tuesday for their rash, their refill, or the random pain they've been ignoring.
Your day is patient care and every conversation you have with a Counsel patient sharpens how we care for everyone who comes next. That's what it means to multiply the world's healthcare capacity.
