The United Firm, also known as La Liga Defensora, APC, is seeking a Post Conviction Relief Attorney to join their team in Los Angeles, California. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience in both criminal and immigration law within a premier law firm. The successful candidate will report directly to the Supervising Attorney and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants specializing in post-conviction relief.

As a Post Conviction Relief Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include advising clients on their legal rights, drafting legal documents, and managing post-conviction relief cases such as motions to vacate, expungements, motions to reduce, and early termination of probation. You will attend motion hearings on behalf of clients, provide strategic advice post-hearing, and handle open criminal cases, including arraignments, pre-trials, pleas, and sentencing. Additional duties involve managing court appearances, drafting motions, interviewing clients, conducting legal research, analyzing case outcomes, and providing legal analysis to clients regarding potential case benefits.

Ideal candidates should possess experience in criminal defense or immigration law, with a strong background in handling criminal cases at the state and local levels. A team-oriented approach, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with fellow associates are essential. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required. Candidates must be admitted to practice law in California and have a passion for criminal defense.

The compensation package includes an annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, with potential for higher compensation based on experience.
