Presuit Secretary
The Presuit Secretary at Morgan & Morgan plays a pivotal role in supporting the firm's pre-litigation processes. This position involves close collaboration with case managers and attorneys to ensure efficient case management and preparation. Key responsibilities include assisting in organizing, filing, and maintaining client files for multiple cases, collecting and processing requests for medical records, accident reports, driving records, and vehicle ownership documents, and performing general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail. Additionally, the role involves preparing and sending various legal documents, including turndowns, no representation letters, contracts, multi-party combo letters, and demand letters.
Candidates should have an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in the legal field is advantageous. Proficiency in administrative and clerical procedures, including word processing, file management, and office operations, is essential. The ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workloads in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is crucial. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
