The Principal Security Operations and Enablement Engineer at Huntress plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the security organization's operational needs and the capabilities of the core platform. This position involves developing workflows, automations, and tools to enhance detection and response processes, ensuring they are faster, more consistent, and scalable. Huntress, founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, is dedicated to making enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes, protecting over 5 million endpoints and 11 million identities worldwide.

Key responsibilities include owning and evolving the technical strategy for Security Operations and Enablement (SO&E), translating operational requirements into precise technical solutions such as workflow automations and API integrations, and building reporting infrastructures that provide meaningful visibility into security performance. The role also involves identifying and reducing operational inefficiencies through automation and tooling improvements, as well as evaluating new technologies to enhance the security organization's capabilities.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in building workflow automations, internal tooling, or operational infrastructure within technical environments, preferably in the security domain. Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages is required, along with experience in developing and maintaining API integrations. Familiarity with security operations tools, including SIEMs and alerting platforms, is essential, as is the ability to translate operational challenges into well-defined technical requirements.

Huntress offers a fully remote work environment, generous paid time off, 12 weeks of paid parental leave, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, a 401(k) plan with a 5% contribution regardless of employee input, life and disability insurance, stock options for full-time employees, and allowances for home office setup and professional development.

The company fosters a culture of inclusivity and continuous learning, encouraging employees to take ownership, elevate industry standards, and pursue innovation. Joining Huntress means becoming part of a mission-driven team committed to protecting businesses from cyber threats and making a tangible impact in the cybersecurity landscape.
