Principal Software Engineer (AI Insurance SaaS)
As a Principal Software Engineer at EvolutionIQ, you will lead the development of the next version of our AI-driven claims management platform. This role involves architecting and implementing foundational systems, including data ingestion pipelines, API platforms, and user-facing applications, capable of processing tens of millions of documents daily. You will collaborate closely with leadership to define technical requirements and provide strategic direction for our engineering organization.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that integrate advanced AI and machine learning capabilities, particularly focusing on unstructured data and large language models. You will act as a top contributor, rapidly transforming ideas into thoughtful designs and swiftly implementing frameworks. Mentoring junior engineers and fostering their growth will also be a key aspect of your role.
The ideal candidate will have 10-15+ years of software development experience, with at least five years in a leadership or principal role. Extensive expertise in scalable cloud architecture, relational database design, and building multi-tenant backend systems is essential. A deep understanding of processing unstructured data and working with large-scale datasets and large language models is required. Proficiency in Python and other relevant technologies, along with strong collaboration and communication skills, is also necessary.
EvolutionIQ offers a competitive base salary range of $280,000 to $330,000, with flexibility depending on a candidate’s background and experience. An annual bonus plan and company equity plan (RSUs) are also included in our generous compensation package, bringing the total compensation between $420,000 and $450,000.
