Principal Software Engineer - Enterprise Customer
OneTrust is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to serve as the primary technical point of contact for strategic enterprise customers. This role involves diagnosing complex production issues, translating customer challenges into product priorities, and collaborating closely with various teams to enhance the platform's value. The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Engineering.
In this role, you will lead technical sessions with enterprise clients to understand their architectures and data flows, troubleshoot issues across distributed systems and data pipelines, and guide customers on best practices for scalability and reliability. Additionally, you will mentor support and customer success teams, create technical documentation such as runbooks and reference architectures, and provide structured feedback to product management to influence the product roadmap.
Candidates should have over 12 years of hands-on engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a customer-facing role. Proficiency with distributed data systems like Cosmos DB, BigQuery, Snowflake, and experience with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, and Kafka are essential. Strong scripting or programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or C# are required, along with experience in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and a proven track record in troubleshooting complex production issues.
The compensation for this role ranges from $196,500 to $294,750 per year, depending on experience.
