Principle Data Engineer
eClinical Solutions is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. This role involves close collaboration with clients to provide high-level technical consulting services, configuration of the elluminate platform, and oversight of projects including trial configuration, quality control, and system validation. The Principal Data Engineer will also serve as a technical escalation point, guiding a team of data engineers in various software service delivery activities.
Key responsibilities include leading consulting efforts related to clinical systems software, designing and developing reporting programs, providing programming support and quality control for system configuration, data extracts, custom reports, and visualizations. The role also involves managing and mentoring technical resources, delivering training services to internal and external users, ensuring compliance with eClinical and industry quality standards, and collaborating with sales teams on staffing and project delivery services. Additionally, the Principal Data Engineer will define new or enhanced processes to support existing modules in elluminate.
Candidates should have over 10 years of professional experience, preferably in services or a senior consulting role, with a strong background in database design and development. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Experience in data warehouse architecture, design, and development is essential, along with proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, or programming languages such as R, Python, or SAS. Familiarity with clinical trial data standards like CDISC ODM, SDTM, or ADaM is advantageous.
