Privacy Counsel

Baker McKenzie is seeking a Privacy Counsel to join our global team, focusing on data privacy and protection matters. As a leading international law firm, we provide comprehensive legal services across various jurisdictions, and this role is integral to advising clients on complex privacy issues in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.

The Privacy Counsel will be responsible for conducting data privacy compliance reviews and audits, developing and implementing privacy policies, and providing strategic advice on data handling and classification. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to global and European data protection laws, including the GDPR, and managing data privacy issues within a global organization.

Candidates must be qualified lawyers with excellent academic credentials, demonstrating deep knowledge of data privacy laws and practices. Experience in managing data privacy issues in a global organization and expertise in global and European data protection laws, particularly the GDPR, are essential. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to develop awareness and communications at all levels within the firm are also required.
