As a Product Compliance Engineer at Figure AI, you will play a pivotal role in developing the safety certification and compliance strategy for the company's product line. Your responsibilities will encompass driving end-to-end safety and regulatory compliance from early system design through certification and commercial launch. You will collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, and legal teams to ensure the robot is safe, certifiable, and ready for deployment in real-world human environments.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, along with at least five years of experience in product safety engineering within regulated hardware domains such as robotics, consumer electronics, automotive, medical devices, or industrial automation. Familiarity with safety certifications and compliance in the field of humanoid robots, collaborative robots, ADAS systems, AMRs, or autonomous systems is essential. A strong working knowledge of product safety and functional safety standards, as well as hands-on experience leading UL, IEC, or CE certification programs from design through approval, is required.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $150,000 and $250,000 annually. The pay offered may vary based on individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components or benefits, which will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
