Accenture Federal Services (AFS) is seeking a strategic, business-savvy, and forward-thinking Product, IP, and AI Counsel to join our Cyber and Emerging Technology team. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how AFS develops, licenses, protects, and governs proprietary technologies, including software, hardware assets, artificial intelligence, and other intellectual property. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with AFS and Accenture leadership to drive innovation and ensure compliance with evolving legal and industry standards.

The Product, IP, and AI Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor throughout the full lifecycle of technology creation, commercialization, deployment, and governance. Key responsibilities include interpreting and applying legal requirements related to intellectual property, federal data rights, artificial intelligence, open-source software, and secure software development. The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to develop innovative commercialization strategies, structuring and negotiating contracts for emerging software and services, advising on IP protection and licensing, and managing intercompany IP initiatives.

Candidates must possess deep subject matter expertise in intellectual property, data rights, and contracting, along with a strong understanding of related technologies and services such as cloud services, managed services, and software development. Experience in designing and implementing go-to-market, monetization, and compliance strategies for technology solutions is essential. Familiarity with secure software development frameworks, open-source licenses, and risk assessment methodologies is also required. The ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects to successful completion and significant experience in drafting and negotiating government and commercial agreements are critical.

This position offers the flexibility of a 100% remote work environment with a flexible schedule, allowing the successful candidate to perform at their best. While the role is remote, the ability to attend key leadership meetings and industry events in person in the Northern Virginia/DC area is preferred.
