Helsing is seeking a Production Engineer - Software Integration to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of our software in live production environments. This role bridges DevOps and Software Engineering, focusing on building automation, monitoring tools, managing incidents, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance developer experience and product quality.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining automated deployment (CI/CD), testing, and scaling processes; building and managing monitoring systems to track application health, performance, and user experience; responding to production incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures; contributing to architectural decisions, conducting code reviews, and ensuring high-quality, maintainable code; and implementing security best practices to ensure compliance within production systems.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Strong coding skills in relevant languages such as C++, Rust, SQL, and Nix OS are essential. Experience with cloud platforms, ERP, and MES, as well as proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI, and monitoring tools, is required. Candidates should possess troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues, an understanding of system architecture, networking, and database management in production environments, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Helsing offers competitive salary and stock options (ESOP), relocation support up to €2,500 and 4 weeks of temporary accommodation, a €500/£450 yearly learning allowance, health and wellness benefits including gym membership and mental health support, regular company events and monthly social allowances, enhanced parental leave with 22 weeks fully paid for primary caregivers and 6 weeks for secondary caregivers, family support including 5 days of paid family emergency leave, 100% remote work option during pregnancy, and a phased return to work, and a hands-on onboarding program.

Joining Helsing means contributing directly to the protection of democratic countries while balancing both ethical and geopolitical concerns. The work is unique, operating in a domain with highly unusual technical requirements and constraints, where robustness, safety, and ethical considerations are vital. Employees face unique engineering and AI challenges that make a meaningful impact in the world. Helsing actively encourages healthy, proactive, and diverse debate internally about what we do and how we choose to do it. Teams and individual engineers are trusted and encouraged to practice responsible autonomy and critical thinking, focusing on outcomes, not conformity. At Helsing, you will have a say in how we work, the opportunity to engage on what does and doesn’t work, and to take ownership of aspects of our culture that you care deeply about.
