Professional Development Manager
The Professional Development Manager at Foley Hoag will collaborate with the Director of Professional Development, legal department leaders, and business services colleagues to foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence. This role is integral to supporting the professional growth and career success of attorneys at all levels within the firm.
Key responsibilities include identifying and addressing attorney development needs, designing and implementing training curricula, and creating experience benchmarks. The manager will provide coaching and advising for associates on career development strategies, oversee mentoring programs, and manage attorney feedback and review processes to ensure constructive evaluations and continuous improvement.
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of professional development or training experience within the legal industry or a professional services firm. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for a Juris Doctor or a Master's in Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. The role demands excellent interpersonal and communication skills, innovative thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $151,000 to $184,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
