As a Programme Manager at Helsing, you will serve as the chief diplomat and commercial steward for our most critical external relationships. Reporting directly to the Programme Lead, you will oversee the partner and supplier ecosystem, ensuring that key contractors and vendors function as a seamless extension of our core team. Your role is pivotal in managing these partnerships from contract negotiation to performance excellence, safeguarding the programme’s objectives and ensuring value, quality, and timely delivery across the supply chain.

Your primary responsibilities include serving as the main relationship owner for strategic partners, suppliers, and contractors. You will lead regular performance reviews to track progress against contractual obligations, service level agreements, milestones, and quality standards. Collaborating closely with Commercial and Legal teams, you will support the negotiation, drafting, and management of Statements of Work, contract amendments, and change orders. Additionally, you will act as the first point of escalation for partner-related issues, driving resolution through effective communication and structured problem-solving between internal teams and external partners.

The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in a role with significant commercial and/or vendor management responsibility, preferably within a major consulting firm. Experience at a level equivalent to an Engagement Manager or Senior Consultant, where managing complex workstreams and client/vendor relationships was key, is essential. Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of contract management, including experience with Statements of Work, service level agreements, and performance-based contracts, are required. Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, along with the ability to build consensus and drive outcomes with senior stakeholders, are crucial. Eligibility to obtain and maintain the necessary level of security clearance is also necessary.

Helsing offers a focus on outcomes rather than time-tracking, competitive compensation and stock options, relocation support, social and education allowances, and regular company events to foster team cohesion across Europe. Joining Helsing means contributing directly to the protection of democratic countries while balancing both ethical and geopolitical concerns. The work is unique, involving highly unusual technical requirements and constraints, where robustness, safety, and ethical considerations are vital. You will face unique engineering and AI challenges that make a meaningful impact in the world.
