Project Coordinator, Interpretations
The Project Coordinator, Interpretations role at Questel involves managing various aspects of the translation and interpreting lifecycle within the Questel Language Solutions (QLS) Team. Reporting to the Director of Interpretations and the Senior Director of Operations, the coordinator supports both Operations and Sales teams by handling new requests and processing orders.
Key responsibilities include applying knowledge of QLS products and services to scope project requirements, developing a thorough understanding of Questel’s interpretation services, and working with the department’s Translation Management System (TMS). The coordinator will review prepared quotes, respond to project requests for live interpretation, liaise between interpreters and clients, and ensure process compliance and client satisfaction. Additional duties involve assisting with launching new projects, assessing the feasibility of rush requests, pre-processing files for translation, conducting post-production quality assurance checks, sourcing translation teams, and maintaining accurate project records.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to handle multiple demands while maintaining accuracy and timeliness. The role requires initiative, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for learning. Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are essential. Previous experience in a fast-paced office setting is preferred, and fluency in English is required, with fluency in another language being advantageous but not mandatory.
