Project Manager - Traffic Engineering 

Benesch is seeking a Project Manager specializing in Traffic Engineering to join their Civil and Traffic team. This role involves leading transportation projects that enhance mobility and safety for communities. The position is based in Glastonbury, CT, with an option to work from Boston, MA, and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The Project Manager will oversee traffic and roadway projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. Responsibilities include developing project work plans, managing and mentoring project teams, and coordinating across disciplines to deliver high-quality designs. The role also involves building and maintaining client relationships with local and state agencies such as ConnDOT and MassDOT, as well as representing Benesch at industry events.

Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of progressive civil transportation design experience and hold a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Connecticut or Massachusetts is required, or the ability to obtain licensure within one year. Experience with public agencies and municipalities, particularly ConnDOT and MassDOT, is preferred. Strong communication skills, proficiency in project-specific software, and the ability to work independently are essential.
