Quality Control Technician
Latitude Inc. is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team in Hunt Valley, MD. This full-time, on-site role is integral to our quality assurance operations, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting component drawings, material specifications, process specifications, and work instructions. Your duties will include performing visual and dimensional inspections on incoming and internally manufactured products, recording inspection and test data, and maintaining inspection, production, and lot traceability records. Additionally, you will evaluate inspections and test data, report deviations using the nonconformance reporting system, maintain tool and equipment calibration control processes, assist with shipping and receiving activities, and develop or write inspection plans or work instructions.
The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or GED, with some vocational or technical training preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field, is required. Basic knowledge and experience working within an ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System are essential. A strong mechanical background, experience in a manufacturing and assembly environment, proficiency with measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines, as well as the ability to apply basic mathematical skills and Statistical Process Control methods, are highly desirable. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is also required. Experience with government project work is highly desired.
