Rail Signal Design - Project Engineer

Benesch is seeking a Rail Signal Design Project Engineer to join their Railroad Grade Crossing team. This role involves providing technical leadership and expertise, overseeing quality assurance and control, and managing the technical execution of projects. The position is part of Benesch’s national Rail Division, with the team based in Fort Worth, TX, offering flexibility for remote work arrangements.

Key responsibilities include performing advanced design work with minimal supervision, selecting and recommending design approaches, preparing preliminary designs, executing drafting and design tasks, mentoring junior staff, and building client relationships through networking and participation in client meetings.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, an active Professional Engineer (PE) license, and 5–10 years of experience in rail signal design or related fields. Proficiency in MicroStation, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor less experienced staff.
