Regional Manager, Operations and Maintenance
The Regional Manager, Operations and Maintenance at Silicon Ranch Corporation is responsible for overseeing the performance and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities across multiple sites in Georgia, including Hazlehurst, Jesup, Vidalia, Waycross, and Douglas. In this role, the manager will lead both scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for the entire PV system, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, substations, and medium to high voltage (MV/HV) systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical components such as contactors, breakers, motors, bearings, PV modules, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and transformers. The manager will also conduct electrical testing using equipment like IV curve tracers, power quality meters, insulation resistance testers, and multimeters. Additionally, the role involves leading and mentoring a team, scheduling maintenance work, and collaborating with management on facility performance and improvement initiatives.
Candidates should have verifiable experience in utility-scale operations and maintenance, particularly in NERC-regulated facilities with capacities of 100 MW or greater. A strong mechanical inclination and experience with DC, AC, and MV systems, as well as communications and mechanical systems, are essential. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of working independently and within a team, with effective communication and leadership skills. Experience in leading maintenance tasks and familiarity with electrical testing equipment are also required.
