Regional Payroll Operations Specialist

The Regional Payroll Operations Specialist at Atlas HXM is responsible for executing, validating, and resolving complex payroll activities across assigned countries or regions. This role ensures payroll accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness by applying statutory expertise, payroll controls, and data validation practices. The Specialist operates independently, owning end-to-end resolution of payroll issues, including investigation, correction, stakeholder communication, and documentation.

Key responsibilities include performing detailed validation of payroll inputs such as earnings, deductions, taxes, and employee data changes prior to processing. The Specialist executes pre- and post-payroll reconciliations, identifies and resolves data inconsistencies, and validates payroll outputs against statutory requirements and internal policies. Additionally, the role involves owning the resolution of complex payroll cases, conducting root cause analysis, and coordinating corrections across payroll systems and external providers.

The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field, along with over 3 years of experience in a multi-country, multi-client payroll environment. Strong fluency in English, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems, and reporting tools are essential. Experience with payroll processing in France and Germany is required, while exposure to other European countries is advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
