Regional Senior Planning Manager
The Regional Planning Manager at WPP Media plays a pivotal role within the Regional Team, supporting media strategy and execution across multiple markets. This position involves close collaboration with global teams, local markets, and specialist functions to deliver performance-driven, insight-led campaigns across digital, traditional, and influencer channels. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, from developing regional campaign proposals and frameworks to overseeing day-to-day implementation, optimization, and reporting.
Key responsibilities include developing regional campaign proposals and media strategies, translating insights into channel selection across various marketing platforms, and creating clear role-of-channel frameworks aligned to the full funnel. The manager works closely with local markets to ensure accurate and timely campaign implementation and ongoing optimization against agreed KPIs, such as reach, engagement, CPA, ROAS, and subscriptions. Additionally, the role involves setting, tracking, and evaluating campaign KPIs, ensuring effective optimization and delivery using relevant internal teams, agency processes, and technology. The manager is also expected to apply innovation-led thinking, proposing new ideas, formats, partnerships, or approaches in collaboration with partners and markets, including initiatives that are first-in-category or industry-leading.
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of media planning experience or a related field, with a strong understanding of the digital media ecosystem and proven experience across Search and Social to develop integrated, full-funnel media. Experience in Influencer marketing is a plus. Familiarity with the SEA media landscape and Gen Z trends/media behavior is beneficial. The candidate should be knowledgeable about and experienced with the concepts, approaches, and issues involved in tactical media planning, as well as the timelines, processes, and needs of the implementation of all media. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the ability to work successfully with teams, handle multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines under pressure are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, formulations, and presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint is required.
