The Regional Vice President, Industry Expansion Sales (Commercial and Mid-Market) at Gong will lead and develop a team of Managers and Account Executives focused on expanding business accounts and acquiring new customers within the financial services, healthcare, consulting, manufacturing, and energy industries. This leadership role directly impacts the growth of the corporate business unit and Gong's success in achieving revenue goals. The position reports to the Vice President of Industry Expansion Sales.

Key responsibilities include hiring and developing a team of experienced Sales Managers, Mid-Market Account Executives, and Commercial Account Executives. The role involves consistently delivering against team revenue goals, assisting the team throughout strategic sales cycles by understanding customer needs and mapping them to the value of Gong, supporting the team in navigating, closing, and expanding within multimillion-dollar accounts, and partnering with sales leadership to define a successful and repeatable sales process. Additionally, the role requires understanding challenges facing the team and clearing the way for success, regularly reporting on team and individual results through pipeline management and forecasting, and identifying and making recommendations for improvements in process, efficiency, and productivity.

Required qualifications include being based in Salt Lake City, Chicago, or New York City, as this is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. Candidates should have 6+ years of experience building and managing high-performing sales teams in a SaaS company, preferably having sold to financial services, healthcare, consulting, manufacturing, or energy organizations. A successful track record of 100%+ quota achievement as a manager and individual contributor in strategic sales is essential. Previous experience recruiting, retaining, and developing a team from the ground up, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of business acumen and understanding of how revenue leaders think, and previous experience selling into sales leadership (C and VP level) are also required.
