Regulated Messaging Principal Engineer
Wells Fargo is seeking a Regulated Messaging Principal Engineer to lead the design and implementation of secure, resilient, and compliant messaging solutions. This role involves close collaboration with product management, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, legal, and operations teams to ensure adherence to global regulatory obligations and support for supervision, investigations, and eDiscovery processes.
Key responsibilities include serving as the top technical subject matter expert for regulated messaging and digital communications governance, defining and maintaining reference architectures and engineering standards, and leading the resolution of complex technical challenges related to scale, latency, data integrity, resiliency, and regulatory constraints. The role also involves providing hands-on technical guidance for critical initiatives, ensuring compliance requirements are embedded into solutions from inception, and influencing platform strategy and technical investment decisions.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of engineering experience, with hands-on expertise in regulated messaging and archiving platforms. Proficiency in designing highly resilient, fault-tolerant data pipelines for message ingestion, storage, and retrieval is essential. Desired qualifications include deep expertise in digital communications governance, experience with multi-channel communications capture across various platforms, and a strong understanding of eComms capture, retention, supervision, surveillance, and legal hold processes.
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $159,000 to $305,000 annually, depending on factors such as performance, skills, experience, and work location.
