THE OPPORTUNITY: REGULATORY COUNSEL

Tilt is looking for a Regulatory Counsel to support Tilt’s growing suite of consumer financial products. As Regulatory Counsel, you will work closely with Tilt’s Product, Credit, Marketing, Operations, and Engineering teams, and will report to the General Counsel.

Tilt is a fast-paced, high growth environment–if you’re our ideal candidate, you excel in rolling up your sleeves, crafting structure within ambiguity and juggling multiple projects. You approach problems from first principles to find novel solutions. You can work autonomously and make judgment calls with confidence. You’ll interface directly with various cross-functional partners, so clear and concise communication of legal principles is a must. And of course, you need a strong understanding of the consumer finance regulatory environment.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

- Advise on the development of new products, features and customer experience, with an emphasis on Tilt’s credit card products

- Draft and revise needed disclosures and customer-facing agreements, ensuring consistency with product specifications

- Review marketing campaigns and materials for accuracy and transparency

- Provide guidance and support to Tilt’s compliance team in product, operational and licensing contexts

- Support Tilt’s consumer litigation/arbitration docket

- Stretch to other projects from time to time as needed to support the business (we’re a small legal team!)
