Remote Digital Court Reporter - Entry Level - Contractor position
eScribers is seeking entry-level Remote Digital Court Reporters to join their team as independent contractors. Established in 2005, eScribers has become a leader in providing transcription and reporting services for courts and government agencies across the United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, capturing and transcribing legal proceedings with precision and impartiality.
As a Remote Digital Court Reporter, you will be responsible for recording remote hearings, verifying the spellings of participants, unusual terms, and places, and ensuring adherence to the court reporter code of ethics. You will also be required to complete all digital paperwork and promptly upload all audio recordings. The role demands a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail to maintain the integrity of the legal record.
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States and possess a high degree of professionalism. Proficiency in typing accurately and basic computer skills are essential. Good communication skills are required, along with access to a computer or laptop installed with Microsoft Windows 7 or higher, a high-speed internet connection, and a current U.S. bank account to receive contract payments.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, offering compensation on a per-case basis, with weekly payments via direct deposit.
