Revenue Accountant

Canonical is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join its Finance team, contributing to the company's growth and preparation for a planned IPO. This role offers the opportunity to work in a globally distributed environment, supporting the financial operations of a leading open-source software provider.

The Revenue Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the month-end reporting process to ensure timely and accurate financial information. Key duties include managing specific aspects of the revenue recognition process, supporting year-end audits and statutory reporting, and enhancing financial processes to improve efficiency and compliance.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent, along with a recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, ACMA, or CPA. Experience with IFRS 15 or ASC 606 revenue recognition standards is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in a large public accounting firm or a public multinational corporate accounting department, as well as familiarity with NetSuite or similar systems.
