Benesch is seeking a Civil Designer to join our growing Civil team in Atlanta and Augusta, Georgia. In this role, you will work on various transportation projects with state and local transportation agencies. As a Designer, you will perform engineering models, analysis and/or designs, and supporting calculations/documentation. You will also coordinate the drafting of project elements for various clients. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities include collecting and assimilating data, performing modeling, analysis, and design calculations of project elements. You will draw design details under the direction of others, compute quantities, and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items. Organizing calculations to be included in design files, following project standards, and coordinating drafting of elements are also part of the role. Performing field or site visits as needed and developing cursory knowledge of applicable codes and standards are expected.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. An E.I.T. certification (or a desire to obtain P.E. in the future) is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products is required. Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects is essential. Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks, including potential travel to project sites, is necessary. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are important.
