Benesch is seeking a Roadway Project Engineer to join our Civil Roadway team in Pennsylvania. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing, multi-disciplined planning, engineering, and professional services firm dedicated to enhancing infrastructure and communities nationwide. The position is available in a hybrid format across our Pennsylvania offices, including Allentown, King of Prussia, Pittsburgh, Pottsville, and Wilkes-Barre.

As a Roadway Project Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and executing project work plans, managing project teams with accountability for budgets and schedules, and mentoring junior staff. Your role will involve interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders, including the Department of Transportation, and representing Benesch at industry and professional engagement events. Additionally, you will contribute to division strategic growth initiatives and collaborate on regional growth strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience and hold a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania or plans to obtain licensure in the near future is required. Experience working with public agencies, private entities, and municipalities, along with progressive experience in developing plans, specifications, and submissions per DOT standards and requirements, is essential. Excellent communication and client relation skills are also necessary.
