Benesch is seeking a Roadway Project Engineer II to join our Civil Roadway team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role involves collaborating with senior staff to deliver transportation projects and contributing to the company's strategic growth initiatives. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office and remote work.

The Roadway Project Engineer II will work independently within a design team to execute project work plans, ensuring projects remain under budget and on schedule. Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff, interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders, and representing Benesch at industry and professional engagement events.

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience and hold a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina is required, or the ability to obtain licensure through comity within one year. Proficiency in MicroStation and Geopak is essential, with experience in OpenRoads Designer preferred. Strong organizational skills and a proven track record of adhering to design budgets and schedules are also necessary.
