Robotics Engineer II
May Mobility is seeking a Robotics Engineer II to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In this position, you will be responsible for training, integrating, and testing machine learning models within our on-vehicle autonomy software. Your day-to-day tasks will include optimizing software for reliability and low latency, conducting on-vehicle tests to validate system performance, diagnosing and resolving issues reported by commercial operations, designing data collection strategies to improve machine learning models, and developing tools to analyze the performance of behavior and control subsystems.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience with robotics software for physical systems in a commercial setting. A bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a strong mathematical and engineering foundation is required. Essential skills include a basic understanding of machine learning concepts, proficiency in C/C++/Python programming within a Linux environment, and familiarity with perception systems such as lidar, camera, and radar. Additionally, a functional understanding of software concepts like memory management, threading, databases, and networking is expected.
