Sales Development Representative
Canonical is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join its growing team. This role involves collaborating with regional sales and marketing teams to identify customer projects that align with Canonical's product lines, thereby promoting the company's presence across various industries and geographies. Canonical is a global software company that publishes Ubuntu and open-source enterprise solutions for cloud, developer, IoT, and AI applications.
The Sales Development Representative will handle inbound customer inquiries via email, phone, and chat, and execute outbound sales and marketing campaigns. Responsibilities include traveling to events and conferences worldwide to present at booths and drive face-to-face marketing and sales opportunities. The role also involves collaborating across multiple teams and senior stakeholders to drive results, working directly with marketing on campaigns, researching information about prospective customers, generating a multi-million pound pipeline, identifying prospects and market trends, helping define team processes and policies, liaising with new and existing customers to set up and attend meetings, and accurately creating, updating, maintaining, and nurturing leads on global opportunities.
Candidates should have excellent academic results at school and university, a passion for business and technology, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. The role requires creative problem-solving and cross-team collaboration skills, strong verbal and written communication abilities, a result-driven mindset with an over-achiever spirit, and persistence and perseverance.
Compensation includes a competitive base pay, with eligibility for additional benefits and rewards such as annual bonuses and sales incentives based on revenue or utilization.
