Salesforce Architect
Banyan Software is seeking a Salesforce Architect to join its operating company, Harrier, which provides the Ignition platform—a leading customer retention and engagement product for the automotive industry. This platform assists dealerships in automating workflows, strengthening customer relationships, and enhancing marketing and service retention programs across Australia and New Zealand. The role is remote, reporting to the Chief Information Officer, and involves close collaboration with Salesforce Engineers, AI and Data teams, Integration Engineers, QA, and Product teams.
The Salesforce Architect will be responsible for evolving and strengthening the Ignition platform by improving code quality, refining bulk-data handling patterns, modernizing legacy implementations, and ensuring scalability. Key duties include maintaining robust security and governance, defining technical direction and coding standards, addressing technical debt, enhancing deployment processes, and enabling new product features such as AI integration and new dealer-facing functionalities.
Candidates should have significant hands-on experience with Salesforce in a senior or lead role, deep expertise in Apex triggers, batch classes, asynchronous processing, and a strong understanding of building scalable solutions. A solid grasp of Salesforce security, experience integrating Salesforce with other systems using REST/SOAP APIs, and proficiency with Lightning Web Components are essential. The ability to clearly explain technical decisions to non-engineers is also required.
Preferred qualifications include Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or Technical Architect; experience with AgentForce, Einstein, or Data Cloud; familiarity with Salesforce DevOps tools like Copado, Gearset, or GitHub Actions; a background in automotive, CRM, or subscription SaaS products; experience with Marketing Cloud or dealer/partner portal development; and knowledge of integration tools like MuleSoft or Jitterbit.
