The Seasonal Inventory Specialist at GHX is responsible for managing medical and surgical supplies, as well as overseeing 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain systems. This role involves accurately counting, stocking, and auditing consumable medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, surgical implants, instruments, and other hospital assets. Additionally, the specialist may be tasked with installing and maintaining 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain lines, which includes assembling and adjusting inventory storage racks. This is a temporary position that requires extensive travel across the United States.

Key responsibilities include capturing inventory count data using the HITS program, performing inventory counts to ensure all items are accounted for, and reporting discrepancies to the Team Leader. The specialist will also assemble and adjust inventory storage racks, carts, and shelving, install carts at each par location, and organize and stock inventory shelving as directed by supervisors and hospital staff. Other duties involve reading data for supplies, labeling supplies, and maintaining a high level of competency in using technology for inventory data capture.

Candidates should have a high school education or equivalent, with a preference for those with medical and/or pharmaceutical product knowledge and at least one year of inventory count or supply chain experience. A state-issued driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred, along with reliable transportation and the ability to travel extensively. Proficiency in using inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports is required, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of various teams. Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and meet the required standards to work within a hospital setting, including background checks, drug tests, and medical vaccinations.

The compensation for this position ranges from $13.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This hourly rate is part of GHX's total compensation package for employees.
