Security Engineer, Proactive Security - Infrastructure and Cloud

Wolt is seeking a Security Engineer to join our Global Security Engineering team, focusing on proactive security measures for our infrastructure and cloud environments. This role is integral to our mission of building a secure and scalable delivery platform that serves consumers, merchants, and courier partners across over 500 cities in 30 countries. As part of DoorDash, we are committed to creating technology that brings joy, simplicity, and earnings to neighborhoods worldwide.

In this position, you will identify and prioritize risk-reducing and engineering-enabling improvements for our infrastructure and cloud security. Your responsibilities will include implementing these improvements, which may involve configuring services as infrastructure as code or developing new features. You will also address security-related inquiries, implement solutions for infrastructure security issues, and guide engineering teams on security, privacy, and technical compliance matters.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and modern microservice architectures. You should be adept at forming productive relationships with engineers and product management teams, quickly learning the nuances of running low-latency, high-availability infrastructure. Proficiency in at least one programming language, strong organizational skills, and clear communication abilities are essential. Fluency in both spoken and written English is required.

This full-time position is based in our Wolt hubs in Berlin, Germany, or Helsinki, Finland, and includes on-call duties with compensation and terms agreed upon in accordance with local employment laws.
