Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking a qualified Litigation Assistant to join their team in Daytona Beach, Florida. This role is ideal for new graduates eager to start their legal careers in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As a Litigation Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the law firm's day-to-day operations, including performing administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. You will also maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to improve workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will collect, examine, and organize evidence for attorney review, draft and proofread legal documents, research regulations and laws, manage client billing, and communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings and depositions.

The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED, with an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. At least two years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal is required, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or other injury-related practice areas is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workloads in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to type at least 35 words per minute are essential.
